Town of West Union

Founded in 1845

Located in Steuben County, the Town of West Union is on the NY/PA border. Since its founding in 1845, small-town country living has thrived in West Union, New York.

Quiet country roads, small churches, friendly neighbors, and some of the best deer hunting in New York State, make living in West Union highly desirable. Nearby sport fishing, rich wildlife, and lush scenery only add to this small part of Western New York.

The regular monthly meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Supervisor, Randy Heckman. Board members present were Linda Mullen, Larry McCaffrey, Patty Irion, and Wendy Potter. Community members were Dale Neuenschwander, Mort Mullen, Marsha Mullen, Tom Deveney, and Lindsey from Valley Fab.. The pledge was said be all in attendance. The minutes from the May 15, 2014 meeting were approved. There was much discussion on a new truck fro the town highway department. This will be looked into a little more before the town board decides to buy or lease a truck. The highway and general vouchers were presented and approved. The next board meeting will be July 17, 2014 at 6:00pm at the town hall.

If anyone is interested in using the town pavilion please contact Shirley McCaffrey at 607-225-4444 for reserving the pavilion.

Also the town clerk will be on vacation from July 3 to July 14. If you should need anything please call the deputy clerk, Annie Meunier, at 607-225-4411. She will also be in the office the regular hours.
